Last month, Dylan Cohl flipped Erykah Badu’s Drake remix of “Hotline Bling” for “Dial Tone”, the lone glimpse he gave fans into his latest project Cowboy Jones: 2000 & Beyond. Before then, there was “Don’t Sweat My Cool” which arrived this past February. Last week, the Port Arthur, Texas native released the full length Cowboy Jones project, with features from Crooks, Brandon B, Teezzilla & The Aspiring Me. Far more lucid and left field than previous tapes from Cohl, he picks up on his new namesake with a player appeal. “Cowboy Jones kicking hoes out the house,” he riffs on the title track, one of two tracks produced by Tha Brodee while Cohl and Ray Hunna pick up the rest.
