“small acts x lots of people = BIG CHANGE.”

That’s been the tagline of #HashtagLunchbag ever since its inception, and it doesn’t look to be stopping anytime soon. The nationwide community service initiative – which brings communities together to assemble and distribute lunchbags for the homeless – touched down in Houston a little over a year ago; and with each ensuing edition of #HashtagLunchbagHOU, the number of volunteers grows larger and the number of lives impacted increases.

Having already made an appearance twice this year, #HashtagLunchbagHOU is offering volunteers another opportunity to serve their communities. If you’ve been looking for a chance to give back for Thanksgiving, HTLB Houston will be hosting a “Family & Friends” Holiday Edition service project this weekend. Sponsored by 93.7 The Beat and Kroger, registration for HTLB’s “Family & Friends” Edition is open now, and volunteers are encouraged to give a $10 donation to go towards the cost of food and supplies.

#HashtagLunchbagHOU’s “Friends & Family” Holiday Edition event goes down this Saturday, November 21st, at Grooves of Houston, 2300 Pierce St, from 9 AM to 12 PM. You can register for #HTLBHouston’s “Friends & Family” Holiday Edition right here.
