Forgive me, but I’m starting a campaign for Anderson .Paak to deliver a full-length album. Yes, the Blended Babies produced EP was cool and his scorching guest appearances on Compton made him the biggest winner of the entire project.

Still, the more we hear from the Los Angeles-based singer, the more we want. Well, at least Dr. Dre delivered upon more unreleased Anderson .Paak music on his bimonthly show, The Pharmacy on Beats 1 Radio over the weekend. “The Season / Carry Me” is a two-part rapid fire exercise from .Paak with production from 9th Wonder and LODEF Beats affililate Callum Conna. The singer laments on the painful gaze of fame and the byproducts of embracing it (“Fuck fame, that killed all my favorite entertainers.”) He’s soulful and poignant, weaving between raps and sung vocals on “The Season / Carry Me” to show that fame is always fleeting, even when you get your first taste of it. Stream the unreleased .Paak track below and grab it on iTunes.
