Sometimes the booty just hypnotizes you.

That’s pretty much the premise for Mick Jenkins’ music video for “Your Love,” one of the more notable cuts off the rapper’s recent Wave[s] album. The Kaytranada-produced track already sounded old-school in its own right, but the visuals for “Your Love” take that classic sound and feel even further.

Premiered by MTV on the network’s “No Chill” show late last night, Jenkins takes viewers back to the ’70s, with from bell bottoms, platform shoes, afros, and disco balls all making a cameo. Jenkins plays some hybrid of The Mack meets Cupid when he finds himself starstruck by a gorgeous beauty in an afro and Daisy Dukes. The lovely lady rebukes Mick’s advances initially, until he takes matters into his own hands. It’s a funktastic companion to an already funky song.

“Your Love” appears on Mick Jenkins’ recent Wave[s] project, out now on iTunes.
