It’s good to be Fetty Wap. The Paterson, NJ rap singer rode a wave started by “Trap Queen” and “My Way” into not only Billboard single success but also album success too. His debut album, Fetty Wap (RGF/300 Entertainment) lands at the top of the Billboard 200 this week having sold 109,000 copies (75,000 pure album sales).

Despite releasing most of the album via his Soundcloud page and singles such as “679” and “Again”, the rapper is the first since A$AP Rocky to have his debut album reach the top of the charts. Rocky’s Long.Live.A$AP rung up 138,000 copies in sales to take the top spot in January 2013.

Last week’s #1 album, the Drake & Future mixtape What A Time To Be Alive slid down a spot to second with 101,000 copies sold. The album is nearly gold with over 400,000 copies sold in the last two weeks alone.
