After a rather interesting pre-order system continually bumped the album’s release date up, Jay Rock’s 90059 finally has a concrete idea of when his sophomore album will see the light of day. According to Twitter, Rock’s stating September 11th (next Friday) is the official date. And there’s not going to be a push back in sight to try and hamper what may prove to be a stellar outing from the Watts representative.

Fueled by teases such as the title track, “Gumbo” and “Money Tree Deuce”, the 11-track effort is as star studded as you can get with features from Busta Rhymes, Black Hippy, SZA, Isaiah Rashad and more. Rock’s been doing traditional album promo this past week, appearing on Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club as well as keeping fans in the loop with his moves via social media. It looks like the plan and slight gamble from Top Dawg worked.
