Universal’s already having it’s most successful year ever as a film studio thanks to Minions, Jurassic World and Furious 7. Plus, after they saw the success the original Ride Along film had last MLK Weekend, it was a no brainer for the studio to greenlight a sequel, putting Ride Along 2 in a new location with new supporting characters and more buddy-cop hijinks from stars Kevin Hart & Ice Cube.

Remember, the original Ride Along grabbed $153 million on a $25 million budget so it comes as no surprise that Hart & Cube are teaming up to tackle a drug mastermind (played by Benjamin Bratt) in Miami. Olivia Munn, Tika Sumpter, Ken Jeong, Nadine Velasquez and Bruce Dern co-star in the Tim Story directed film which lands January 15, 2016. See the debut trailer below before you catch it in theaters as it gets paired with Straight Outta Compton starting tomorrow.
