Launched in 2013 by Houston native Nate Agbetola, the E.A.T. (Elevate At All Times) Program has exploded throughout the city. The premise behind the program was simple enough – keeping student athletes motivated off the field by focusing on the importance of education.

The third time now seems to be the charm, as the 501(c)3 organization prepares to deliver its 3rd annual Back to School Picnic this upcoming Saturday, August 9th.

The program will once again partner with the Fort Bend Women’s Center in order to directly benefit the students that call the center home. In addition to offering free food, music and giveaways, attendees of the picnic will also be treated to a variety of motivational speeches, by way of a number of former student-athletes on hand who will share their personal experiences with an emphasis on higher learning. Confirmed guests at the Picnic include NFL player Stephen Williams, Olympic basketball player Sarah Ogoke, and Ose Ohen of Glazed/Forces.

With the program still expanding, this year’s Picnic will also feature an organized kickball game.
