Lil Wayne Lil Weezyana Fest

Although it’s long been a running joke that Lil’ Wayne has no loyalty whatsoever when it comes to sports teams, the flagship emcee of Cash Money Records has never shied away from representing from his home state of Louisiana.

So it makes perfect sense that Wayne would announce plans for the first-ever “Lil Weezyana” music festival in New Orleans. Slated for next month at Bold Sphere Music at Champions Square, the “Lil Weezyana Fest” will have Wayne performing in front of his own hometown, no doubt with plenty of his Cash Money cohort and greatest hits on deck, as well as live performances of some of his recent Free Weezy Album material. The biggest drawing factor of the festival thus far, however, is the rumor that Weezy F. will reunite the Hot Boys on-stage for the first time in years. Here’s hoping B.G., who’s currently in jail, can get the one day pardon G-Dep could not for the Bad Boy Records reunion at the BET Awards.

Presale tickets for the Lil’ Weezyana Fest – what Wayne himself is proclaiming “the greatest concert ever” – are available now on Ticketmaster, with ticket sales to the general public opening this weekend.

The Lil’ Weezyana Fest goes down in Nawlins August 28.

As an added bonus, you can hear Weezy’s radio interview with Louisiana’s Wild Wayne, on which he opens up about the Hot Boys Reunion, daps up Juvenile, and recalls getting props from Jay-Z, down below, as well.
