BJ The Chicago Kid - That Girl f. OG Maco

After dropping his The M.A.F.E. Project last year, hopes were high that BJ The Chicago Kid might build on the success of his stellar R&B debut Pineapple Now-N-Laters with another album. The Chicago Kid has popped up every now and then in 2015, featuring on projects from Kehlani and Chance the Rapper; but word regarding his own solo LP had remained mute for the most part.

Until now.

Earlier this week, BJ The Chicago Kid liberated “That Girl,” the alleged first single from his currently untitled sophomore album. A nearly four and a half minute number, OG Maco bookends the track with opening and closing verses, BJ harmonizing floating in the background before taking center stage towards the song’s 2:25 mark. It’s Jodeci-esque and will almost certainly call to mind the old-school R&B-rap collabs of the ’90s.

BJ The Chicago Kid’s “That’s Girl,” featuring OG Maco, is slated to appear on BJ’s upcoming sophomore LP, due later this year.
