Piper May 22, 2015 Sports The NFL’s first openly gay professional football player has moved on to the Canadian Football League to sign a two year deal with the Montreal Alouettes. The fervor over his sexual orientation and NFL shuffling has been an interesting topic in the sports world. Sam who was drafted by the NFL in the seventh round by the St. Louis Rams. He then was shuffled to the Dallas Cowboys practice squad but was then released.
