Here’s what you have to understand about Jobs, the first biopic about the life of Apple founder Steve Jobs. It was lowkey set to be a failure from the start with Ashton Kutcher as the lead, an independent budget and not much positive momentum going for it in terms of word of mouth. The end result? It’s currently sitting in the queue of a few Netflix subscribers in some random parts of the world. The latest Jobs feature has a bit more Hollywood weight behind it with Michael Fassbender, Seth Rogen and Slum Dog Millionaire director Danny Boyle for Steve Jobs.

“I sat in a garage and invented the future.” Those are the only words that are a bit profound from the debut teaser trailer which surfaced online. Considering that Steve Jobs comes at a time where Apple hasn’t exactly been innovative, it’s more of a overarching look into the life and career of the man in the black smock and glasses who pushed the envelope in the digital age an helped revolutionize the world’s most profitable company. We get a brief glimpse of Steve Wozniak, coding wizard and Apple co-founder. The film sets to take looks at three backstage incidents before Jobs takes the stage in his now famous black turtleneck and glasses.

Kate Winslet will star as former marketing chief of Macintosh Joanna Hoffman and Seth Rogen appears as Apple co-founder Wozniak. Jeff Daniels is taking on the role of former Apple CEO John Sculley. Steve Jobs arrives on October 9th and you can see the teaser trailer below.
