Chinx, an affiliate of French Montana who scored notable street hits with “Coke Boyz” and “Feelings” was shot and killed in Jamaica, Queens early Sunday morning. He was 31-years-old.

Details are scarce but Chinx, real name Lionel Pickens was driving a silver Porsche down the road with another man riding passenger. Another vehicle pulled up to the driver side of the Porsche, opening fire. The passenger was struck multiple times in the back and is listed in critical condition.

Though he had not settled on crafting a debut album, Chinx had already earned a buzz in the mixtape community with his Cocaine Riot series and other records. He recently collabed with longtime friend and mentor French Montana and N.O.R.E. for “Off The Rip”.

Police have no motive or suspects in regards to his murder.
