D’Angelo Adds 14-U.S. Dates For ‘The Second Coming’ Tour [@thedangelo] Brandon Caldwell April 27, 2015 Music, News, On The Road D’Angelo is coming. The singer announced via his website that he is adding 14-additional U.S. tour dates to his The Second Coming tour which has mostly played Europe and spot dates including Saturday Night Live, two stops at the Apollo Theater in Harlem & the Best Buy Theater in New York and SXSW 2015. The 14-date trek begins June 7th at Oakland California’s Fox Theater before wrapping up east on June 28th in Sayreville, New Jersey. In between, D’Angelo will make stops in Los Angeles, Denver, Kansas City, Atlanta, Dallas, Houston and more. There’s also a late night slot for him at this year’s Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival on June 13 and an outdoor gig at Forest Hills Stadium in Forest Hills, New York on June 21st. Since the release of his acclaimed Black Messiah album in December, D’Angelo has been touring with The Vanguard, a renouned band including Who bassist Pino Palladino, guitarists Jesse Johnson and Isaiah Sharkey, drummer Chris “Daddy” Dave, keyboardist Cleo “Pookie” Sample and vocalists Kendra Foster, Charlie “Red” Middleton and Jermain Holmes.
