Despite a statement from yours truly in regards to rappers not needing to create a Rockets playoff song, Stoppa instead uses James Harden as a metaphor for life. “Pressure (James Harden)”, a loosie produced by Nate Coop & Tony Darks finds the Houston rapper “feeling like James Harden every time we kill ’em.” Stoppa understands that James may not win the MVP, considering that Steph Curry is currently the best player on a 67 win team in Golden State. However, that hasn’t stopped Stoppa (bad pun, forgive me) from recording the ode and effectively weaving in some Drake like hometown pomp and bravado. Hear “Pressure (James Harden)” from Stoppa below.
