Let it be known, Seth Rollins had the kind of WrestleMania that could rival Bret Hart‘s Wrestlemania X. The former ROH star cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase to defeat Roman Reigns & Brock Lesnar to win his very first WWE World Heavyweight Title at WrestleMania 31 on Sunday night.

To put it plainly, Lesnar made Reigns in their main event matchup. After weeks of build by Lesnar’s advocate Paul Heyman, the match was plain and simple — stiff. Where Lesnar’s current genius lies is this. He left the WWE in 2004 knowing how to put over a crowd and entertain people. In 2015, he brings the sort of freakish athleticism and strength to make every match of his a big time attraction. He’s an all-time great just for that. Reigns survived a beating maybe even worse than what John Cena took at Summerslam last August, being the first inducted into “Suplex City Bitch”. But, even after all of Reigns’ rope-a-dope maneuvering, taking every big Lesnar shot before returning with 3 (!) Superman punches and 2 spears, he was once more outsmarted by Rollins. Rollins turned the main event into a triple threat, earned a massive pop once he curb stomped Reigns following a nasty Reigns spear on Lesnar and won the title.

Hours after … well … this happened.

Here’s the quick and dirty version of the results from WWE WrestleMania 31.

Pre-show Fatal-4-Way Tag Match for the WWE Tag Team Championships: Cesaro and Tyson Kidd (c) defeated Los Matadores, The Usos and The New Day.
Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal: Big Show wins the 2nd annual Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal, last eliminating Damien Mizdow. Mizdow did (finally) turn on The Miz and eliminated him to set up his final showdown with Big Show.

01. Intercontinental Championship Ladder Match: Daniel Bryan defeated Bad News Barrett (c), Dolph Ziggler, R-Truth, Stardust, Luke Harper and Dean Ambrose. Bryan won after headbutting Ziggler off the ladder. In a later segment, he was congratulated by former champions Pat Patterson, Roddy Piper, Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat & Bret Hart.

02. Randy Orton defeated Seth Rollins. Orton won via RKO. Aka THAT RKO.

03. Triple H defeated Sting. Nostalgia fest as both D-Generation X & the NWO made run-in appearances. Triple H won after countering a second Stinger Splash with his sledgehammer. After the match, Trips & Sting shook hands.

04. AJ Lee and Paige defeated The Bella Twins. AJ defeated Nikki Bella by submission with The Black Widow.

05. United States Championship Match: John Cena defeated Rusev (c). Rusev’s WM debut came with a boss entrance via tank. Match wise, he bumped into Lana who attempted to cause interference before falling to an Attitude Adjustment from Cena.

– The Rock and UFC female bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey had an in-ring confrontation with Stephanie McMahon & Triple H. After Stephanie berated both Rousey & The Rock, Rock attacked Triple H and Rousey judo threw him to the mat threatening to break Stephanie’s arm.

06. The Undertaker defeated Bray Wyatt. Undertaker pinned Wyatt after a second Tombstone Piledriver.

07. WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match: Seth Rollins defeated Brock Lesnar (c) and Roman Reigns. Think we just explained this one. Now considering that the WWE title picture is officially thick with Reigns, Rollins & Lesnar … let us pray that the WWE doesn’t mess this up. Until Raw in April or something.
