Rae Sremmurd - Throw Some Mo (f. Nicki Minaj, Young Thug)

From the very minute rap duo Rae Sremmurd struck gold a third time with their Nicki Minaj and Young Thug-assisted single “Throw Sum Mo’,” it was understood that the track would get all kinds of play in the shake joints. Its simple yet infectious hook, the pulsating instrumental courtesy of Soundz and Mike WiLL Made It – these coupled with the Sremm Lifers’ ability to lace together quotable lines made the track perfect for the strip club, and that in turn led listeners to anticipate visuals involving a similar venue.

And yet, the music video for “Throw Sum Mo” – directed by Mike WiLL himself and Motion Family – seems to give us our expectations and then some.

You see, it’s not just any ordinary strip club that Swae Lee and Slim Jimmy walk into in the “Throw Sum Mo” visuals. No, this is a combination skate rink-shake joint, one in which the rap duo find themselves at home showering their dollars upon flexible dancers (one of whom goes full froggy style at the 1:48 mark). Nicki simply handles tip-out duty and stands around looking nice in her own right, while Young Thug keeps the party going outside of the club in his smoke-machine powered van. There’s no nudity involved, but there’s too much twerkage and too much booty for you to trust watching it at work.

“Throw Sum Mo” appears on Rae Sremmurd’s SremmLife album, available now on iTunes.
