Jamie Foxx - You Changed Me (f. Chris Brown)

Don’t sleep on Jamie Foxx’s musical talent. Though Foxx has put more emphasis on his acting of recent – especially in light of the news that he’s been tapped by Martin Scorcese to star in an upcoming Mike Tyson biopic – he hasn’t forgotten the music at all. Jamie is in the process of crafting his fifth studio album, slated for a May release; and with his lead single “Party Ain’t A Party” making rounds on radio at the moment, Foxx has dropped his second new lead single from the project, “You Changed Me.”

Unlike the 2Chainz featured “Party,” “You Changed Me” has Foxx collaborating with Chris Brown on finding the right kind of lady that makes them want to change for the better. It’s not quite “Don’t Wanna Be A Player 2015,” but it’s a smooth ride and a solid showcase of both singers’ vocal talent. “You Changed Me” almost seems like Jamie trying to tailor his sound to cater to a younger crowd – much like Usher attempted to on “I Don’t Mind” – but at least this track is much closer to R&B.

“You Changed Me” is slated to appear on Jamie Foxx’s upcoming LP, due out May 19th; though the single itself is available on iTunes now.
