Fraternities have done pretty awkward fraternal things. They’ve yelled a few things, chanted some others. Pretty sure the University of Oklahoma SAE chapter didn’t realize that a) it’s 2015, where Ls get videotaped and recorded and b) people don’t take too kindly to racism, even if that level of racism exists from the University of Oklahoma.

The Oklahoma SAE began a chant that started with glee and plenty of awkward intent. Of course, because it’s also 2015, somebody decided to videotape a few super privileged idiots who thought chanting something so willfully ignorant would be a great thing to do. Rock a blazer before a black-tie event, sing like you’re a member of a racist Glee Club.

“There will never be a n***er SAE.
There will never be a n***er SAE.
You can hang ‘em from a tree,
But they’ll never [inaudible] with me.
There will never be a n***er SAE.”

Congratulations University of Oklahoma SAE, you’ve achieved peak racism only a day after plenty of people took to Selma, Alabama to commemorate an episode of America history we’re supposed to be moving past. You know, the bridge where President Obama delivered not only one hell of a speech, he allegedly brought the flamethrower from Kanye West’s “All Day” live performance to prove a point. Jackasses.

From the site Total Frat Move who first reported the video, “Racism running rampant among fraternities is [a stereotype] that is—unfortunately—alive and well because of people like this. Exposing it brings me pleasure.”
