If you thought the funk and drive of Chaz Bundwick aka Toro Y Moi’s Anything in Return and Michael from his Les Sins alter-ego was going to find its way onto his new album, What For?, the lead single “Empty Nesters” may shock you. Folksy like a windmill idly standing by on a road trip, Bundwick asks a person, presumably near a woman “if you still draw near the margins.” It’s a solid trip and you can hear it for yourself below. “Empty Nesters” is the lead single from For What? due April 7.
