Tonight is the night; the Space City Beat Battle Championship.

BC Beats, Charity E. Vaughn, Bobby Earth, Nate Coop and more will be competing for the esteemed title of Beat Battle XIX Champion, and the guest judge lineup is one to take note of.

Houston’s own Doughbeezy will be one of the judges at tonight’s beat battle. Doughbeezy has been consistently busy including previously touring with Dom Kennedy and collaborating with many local legends including Bun B, Devin the Dude Slim Thug and Paul Wall. He was named a top 5 underground artist in Houston by MTV in 2013. With multiple projects under his belt and performances at SXSW, A3C, Free Press Summerfest and more, Doughbeezy is well acquainted with the industry.

New Orleans native and multi-platinum Grammy nominated producer N.O. Joe will be judging alongside Doughbeezy. Joe has contributed his production skills to many classic albums including but not limited to Scarface’s The Diary and Last of a Dying Breed, The Geto Boys’ The Resurrection and UGK’s Ridin Dirty and Underground Kings. Some of his other production credits include work with some of the best known artists of our time such as Jay-Z, Lil Wayne, T.I., Rick Ross, Devin The Dude, D’Angelo, Master P, Brian McKnight and more.

Joining Doughbeezy and N.O. Joe is renowned producer Cardiak. Hailing from New Jersey, Cardiak’s production discography dates back years. From Joe Budden to Young Jeezy, Cardiak has had his hands in every corner of the hip-hop industry. Some of his production credits include work with Budden and Jeezy as aforementioned, as well as Eminem, Meek Mill, Freeway, Havoc, Wale, The Game, T.I., Slaughterhouse and many, MANY more.
