‘The Raid’ Is Heading To Space, Via Star Wars [@StarWarsEpisodeVII @TheRaidUS]

The highly anticipated Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens has now reached a new level of awesomeness! Todd Brown the producer of some of the best action films “The Raid” and “The Raid 2” has hinted that some of the cast members have joined the production. Star Wars is in post-production and if you check IMDB they are listed as rumored but lets hope its true. Iko Uwais, Yayan Ruhain, and Cecep Rahman have played major roles in The Raid by staring in the film and choreographing the fight scenes. So what does this mean for Star Wars? It means that Star Wars Ep.VII is getting a huge makeover on their fight scenes by become more hardcore compared to the fight scenes in the past Star Wars films. We still don’t know the roles of the Raid cast did from either staring in the film, choreographing the fight scenes, or providing extra motion capture which might be more likely since it is in post-production. I have to give major respect to JJ Abrams for putting this cast into the production because he is now changing how we see Jedi and Sith fight. If you have not seen The Raid and Raid 2 I highly recommend watching these two films to give you a glimpse on how the fight scenes of Star Wars would look like and you would be just as excited as I am. I have provided a small video on how the motion capture fight scene was made for the online game Star Wars The Old Republic. Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens will release at the end of this year on December 18th.
