A Colorado Springs location of famed Civil Rights organization the NAACP, was purposely bombed on January 6 in an attack that thankfully caused no injuries. During the Jim Crow era fear tactics like the 1963 church bombing which killed four church girls in Birmingham, Alabama, were used in an effort to halt the Civil Rights movement.

Authorities report no injuries outside of “minimal surface charring to the exterior wall of the building.” The FBI has also advised that “a potential person of interest in this investigation is a Caucasian male, approximately 40 years of age and balding. He may be driving a 2000 or older model dirty, white pick-up truck with paneling, a dark colored bed liner, open tailgate and a missing or covered license plate.”
