Today, The Sauce Factory will take the stage at the Los Magnificos Custom Car & Bike Show hosted by Houston’s troika of Radio One helmed outlets. It should be a celebratory occasion, something to marvel at considering their street to radio success. But, if you ask Sauce Walka about their ascent, he’ll tell you with the same amount of passion in his voice as a benediction that it should have happened a lot sooner.

Consider this, The Sauce Factory and to extent Moe Gang have been club staples for a while now. Between them and Doeman, there is no other “rookie” outfit in Houston making the same amount of waves (no pun intended). They’re staunch in what they believe in, evident by their association with plenty of noted Houston imprints such as Slim Thug, Kirko Bangz and notable outsiders such as Chalie Boy and more. Monday, their In Sauce We Trust tape arrives as the follow up to April’s buoyed and excellent SauceAMania project.

The Sauce Factory has a litany of artists and no direct leader to speak of. All it makes for is a group of wolves who display both on Rodjii Diego’s “Flava In Ya Ear” remix and Chalie Boy’s “No Flava” of what they’re about. There’s Sancho in a high wired voice pushing through sleepy eyes to tote steel and prove his street resume and then there’s Sauce Walka braying and making threats, not to mention breaking down his Pimpin’ Ken like refrain mid verse. This, is the appetizer to In Sauce We Trust. Hear both “Flava In Ya Ear (Remix)” with Rodji Diego, Rizzo, Sauce Walka, Slim Thug & Kirko Bangz & “No Flava” with Chalie Boy, Sancho Saucy & Sauce Walka.
