Certain songs immediately grab you and move. Chedda Da Connect’s “Flicka Da Wrist” took Houston’s already hyperactive dopeboy community and gave them a catchy, fun anthem. Now he’s offering an anthem of a different kind — one for the Houston Rockets.

“Dunk On Em” does what plenty of basketball themed songs before it did, make metaphors about the simplest, most expressive move on a basketball court and tags them to current Rockets players. It’s no Kurtis Blow “Basketball” but it just takes small hints of “B.M.F.”‘s rolling snares and even gets a guest verse from Bun B himself to round everything into form. Salute Chedda Da Connect for that, he’s now inching closer to consistent looks from the always hard to win over rap public.
