The trailer for Tim Burton’s Big Eyes has finally been release and give us that creepy dark vibe that we have grown to love from the director. Big Eyes is the biopic of the painter Margaret Keane. For those that aren’t familiar with the name you may be familiar with her work. She is the artist responsible for the little kids with giant anime-styled eyes as seen below.

Margaret Keane is portrayed by Amy Adams (Man of Steel, American Hustle). The film will focus on her life in the 1960s and her marriage to Walter Keane played by Christoph Waltz (Inglorious Bastards, Django Unchained). I must say that I am quite satisfied with the pairing that they have chosen to play these two. The project had quite a difficult time with keeping actors attached to the project. Kate Hudson and Thomas Haden Church were originally suppose to portray the two but were then replaced by Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Reynolds. After a year Witherspoon and Reynolds dropped out of the film which leads to our stars of the film.

The film will display the marital discord between husband and wife, because Walter has partnered with Margaret and is claiming the work as his own. This lead to a rift in their marriage and a court case that eventually made its way to federal court. Margaret worked tirelessly to prove the painting were her own, and not of her husbands. It even went as far as to Margaret challenging Walter in the middle of court to a painting competition, a scene that should makes its way in the film. Mrs. Keane life is not walk through the park and Big Eyes looks to do a good job of telling this interesting story.

Amy Adams and Christoph Waltz will also be joined by Jason Schwartzman, Terence Stamp and Krysten Ritter.

Big Eyes will make its way to theaters nationwide Christmas Day.
