Cross off another legal case for Chris Brown.

On Tuesday morning the singer pled guilty to assaulting a man outside of a Washington D.C. hotel last October. He won’t however have to spend any time in jail as he was sentenced to time served in the case. Brown had originally pleaded not guilty in the incident which stemmed from an altercation in which a man tried to jump in a photo with Brown as the singer was taking a picture with two female fans.

Brown was released earlier this year from a California jail after serving 131 days for being convicted in a separate incident. “I would like to say to the court that I’m sorry,” he said in a statement outside the courthouse on Tuesday. His latest album X is set to be released on September 16th.
