flawless-remix-cover

The heavens have opened, floors have shifted and wigs have decided to get split just at the nick of time. Somehow Azealia Banks’ edges (or what remains of them) have been snatched, plenty of partiers have gotten their collective gasps of life: Beyoncé & Nicki Minaj have crafted a “Flawless” remix.

It was rumored that the two respective female heads of R&B and rap would come together and indeed they do. Over Hit-Boy’s still schitzophrenic production, Bey decides to address that infamous elevator fight between her sister and her husband with a quip, “of course sometimes shit goes down when it’s a billion dollars on an elevator”. It’s an obvious Hov ploy, the greatness smoke screen to issues is to once more establish just how powerful and wealthy you are. Minaj slinks around on the second verse, pushing sex and fantasy and a hint of the untouchable. “It’s every nigga dream fantasizing ‘bout Nicki and Bey, curvalicious, pussy served delicious,” the Queens rapper spits on the shit-talking ode to individuality and being above everyone else in the room, elevated even.

“Flawless” for Minaj comes on the heels of the release of her “Anaconda” single late Friday evening. Beyoncé is still on tour with Jay Z promoting Beyoncé as “Flawless” among other singles from her December LP hold onto every bit of radio life that may be left.
