Took nearly a decade for Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller to team once again after the success of 2005’s Sin City. Consistently  delaying the promised sequel with other project it appeared that Sin City 2 would be in limbo along with Dr.Dre’s next album. But now with Sin City: A Dame To Kill For rapidly approaching theaters Rodriguez and Miller are once again hinting at another installment to the Sin City franchise.

They released only minor details that the duo have been discussing the making of Sin City 3 and encourage the audience of Comic-Con San Diego to see the sequel to get the ball rolling on creating another installment. If Sin City: A Dame To Kill For can out due the success of its predecessor, being given the green light for another installment should fair easy. The only mystery is how fans will respond to the sequel. Nine years are quite a time span to keep fans waiting. Will they flock by the dozens and sell out every seat? Or has the glamor of waiting for another installment to this phenomenal piece of work faded? With a new style and all-star cast, they are hoping that will be enough to draw the fans back to the world of sin.

Sin City: A Dame To Kill For will tells  a whole new set of stories based on Miller’s original graphic novel series, and features returning stars Mickey Rourke, Jessica Alba, Bruce Willis, Rosario Dawson, Powers Booth and Jamie King in addition to newcomers like Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Josh Brolin, Ray Liotta, Eva Green, Dennis Haysbert, Christopher Lloyd and Jeremy Piven. Look for the film in theaters on August 22nd.
