Lillie B. Girls Foundation Announce “Simply A Smarty Pants” Back To School Bash (8.16) Cecilia Smith July 29, 2014 Events Created as a platform to provide self-empowerment programs for girls by Houston native Karena Simon, the Lillie B. Girls Foundation has successfully created an entire series of programs designed to boost self-esteem through activities promoting positive body image, educational achievement and moral excellence. On August 16 the program resumes with “Simply A Smarty Pants,” a back to school workshop and initiative which will consist of interactive activities designed to build confidence, promote sisterhood and help all participants set academic goals as they embark upon this upcoming school year. The event is free and open to all girls from grades 3-8 with registration, with each participant to receive school supplies and more! There are only 50 spaces available, with registration slated to end on August 2nd.
