While Marvel Studios is preparing to complete Phase Two with Guardians of the Galaxy and The Avengers: Age of UltronĀ Phase 3 is beginning to blossom with the recent release of the new concept art for Ant-Man. Although the project was stalled due to the creative differences with writer/director Edgar Wright leading to his departure from the project, Ant-Man is now back on track and will begin filming soon.

Drawn by Andy Park, an artist of Marvel’s visual development department the concept art features the Ant-Man costume and his shrinking abilities as well as an excellent illustration of both stars of the film Paul Rudd and Michael Douglas.

According to the script written by Adam McKay and directed by Peyton Reed Ant-ManĀ will bring to the big screen two different versions of the classic comic book character. Michael Douglas will portray Dr.Hank Pym, the original Ant-Man who discovered the substance that lets him shrink down to the size of an insect known as Pym Particles. Meanwhile Paul Rudd will portray Scott Lang, a thief who steals the Ant-Man costume so that he can try to help save his dying daughter. With a new director and writer on board the project will begin filming next month.
