It took thirteen years for The Best Man to get a sequel with The Best Man Holiday last December and now fans won’t have to wait long for the third installment in the series. Universal has confirmed The Best Man Wedding, the third film in the series will arrive in theaters in April 2016.

If you recall, Holiday ended with Q (Terrence Howard) revealing to the shock of his boys that he was getting married. To who? We don’t know but that’s why we’re going to wait two years to find out. Per THR:

The Best Man Wedding is set to be released April 15, 2016, with writer-director Malcolm D. Lee returning for the third installment and Sean Daniel producing.

1999’s The Best Man earned $35.1 million domestically, while last year’s The Best Man Holiday took $70.5 million.
Universal says the cast will be back. The stars of the previous films include Taye Diggs, Terrence Howard, Harold Perrineau, Morris Chestnut, Monica Calhoun, Sanaa Lathan, Nia Long, Melissa De Sousa and Regina Hall.

Anyone want to bet money that it’s Shelby? I mean, Morris Chestnut all but confirmed back in June that the third film would be the funniest one yet and nothing would be more funny (and sort of predictable) than Howard and Murch debating which one of their wives did things the best.
