King Bey will return to the throne she calls home this Friday, July 18th as the On The Run tour makes its way to Minute Maid Park. Beyonce’s love for an admiration of people and culture within Houston, however, might overshadow what is steadily becoming one of the highest grossing tours of 2014.

Last week, reports surfaced that Mrs. Carter had given a substantially generous donation – $7 million, to be exact – to support The Bread of Life, Inc., a local non-profit organization dedicated to providing resources to the homeless in downtown Houston. Beyonce is joining forces with her pastor and longtime friend Rudy Rasmus (of St. John’s Downtown), in cooperation with 97.9 the Box, Majic 102.1, The Houston Food Bank, and Miss-A-Meal to continue to spread the giving spirit and create yet another opportunity for Houstonians to get involved in their community, via the #BeyGood Initiative.

The #BeyGood initiative seems simple enough – it’s all about dropping off food and resources to The Bread of Life. But Beyonce is taking it one step further. Now, every day this week leading up to the concert on Friday night, those who donate will have the chance to win 2 tickets to Friday night’s concert to catch Mr. and Mrs. Carter live. To qualify to win the tickets, you simply have to drop off five non-perishable items at The Bread of Life, located at 1301 Gray Street, between 12 and 2 PM. Each day’s winners will be officially announced at 2 PM.

We encourage you to get involved in the #BeyGood Movement. While the tickets are a great incentive, it reminds us that you’re never too big or too small to do your part and help make your city a better place.
