LeBron James: “I’m Coming Home” Brandon Caldwell July 11, 2014 Sports No press conference. No “Decision”. Just a letter and a phrase. “I’m Coming Home.” LeBron James ended his free agency Friday morning with a letter told to Sports Illustrated’s Lee Jenkins. In short, he wasn’t thinking about any other place than Cleveland. No city was going to get his attention more than coming home to finish a job he set out to do the moment he entered the league. “Miami, for me, has been almost like college for other kids. These past four years helped raise me into who I am,” James said in the letter, thanking Pat Riley & Mickey Arison for helping groom him into becoming an even better basketball player and leader. “My goal is still to win as many titles as possible, no question. But what’s most important for me is bringing one trophy back to Northeast Ohio.” So now what? With the biggest free agency domino of all falling, what happens with Chris Bosh and the Rockets? Or Carmelo Anthony? Does Kevin Love get traded to Cleveland for Andrew Wiggins? Does Dan Gilbert even apologize publicly? What about the fans who burned jerseys? Who even knows at this point. All we know is this, “The King Has Returned” to Cleveland.
