Houston’s Historic Bradshaw Slave Cemetery Bulldozed Brandon Caldwell June 18, 2014 News Bradshaw Cemetery, located on the city’s Northeast City was bulldozed without its owners consent a few days ago. The cemetery, built in the 1800s was created and forged as the proper burial ground for slaves and African-Americans who were denied such a right. The Nelloms family, who owns the land, has no idea who would bulldoze the property. “I don’t want to see my grandmother dug up out of the ground,” Jeremy Nelloms told News92FM. “There’s no way. I’d die before I’d let that happen.” [News92FM] Share this:TweetShare on Tumblr Leave a Reply Cancel Reply Your email address will not be published.CommentName* Email* Website Notify me of follow-up comments by email.
