It’s not really a secret that Stoppa (or Sho Stoppa if you prefer) is one of those Houston rappers with varying talents, cut on a dime ability to flip verses about higher thought while also parlaying and relishing in his own riches and elevated mind state. That portfolio gave Stoppa two early buzz singles from The YSL Project, “’92 Dream Team” & the Yeah Yeah Yeahs sampling “G Double OD” and now the full length has arrived, backed by DJ Smallz and mostly produced by Stoppa himself, leaving no excuses for the rapper to make his own waves. When you leave a project solely in your hands, the blame can’t be passed around. As confident as Stoppa is, he wouldn’t want it any other way.
