Following the news that the Batman/Superman teamup has been pushed back to 2016, DC Comics announced today that Zack Snyder will be the man in charge of the Justice League movie — which is apparently going to be shot right after Batman/Superman. Given the schedule of these major blockbuster hero flicks, Justice League may fall on the 2017 film release schedule with Henry Cavill reprising his role as the Man Of Steel, Ben Affleck as Batman, Gail Gadot as Wonder Woman and Ray Fisher as Cyborg.

There’s no word on who exactly the League will have to deal with in terms of villains, or if other characters will be involved. One can only hope we get the John Stewart version of Green Lantern and a wise cracking Flash because quite frankly, I don’t think the world is ready to deal with Hal Jordan and his suit that wasn’t even on all the way in Green Lantern.

DC knows Marvel is the current king of the superhero movie universe, building a consistency with its characters and properties that will no doubt continue when Guardians Of The Galaxy arrives in August. Plus with the second Avengers film set to land upon us all next year, Marvel and DC are back at war at dominance over comic book lovers and fanboys dreams.
