For years, Houston has largely had to rely on one outlet for urban radio; yet change has recently come sweeping across the city’s airwaves as challengers have begun to enter the radio ring.

The brainchild of Brittany Hardiman, Nneka Kimble, Kira Davis, Verda Carr, and Naeishia Nance; following successful online radio stints, the Fab Five came together to launch their own station, creatingThe Core 94.

Slated to formally launch April 1st, listeners will be able to get doses of news/current events coverage and an eclectic mix of Hip Hop/RnB, Zydeco, and even a daily Bounce Mix.

Having already been proven themselves instrumental to Houston’s pulsating underground scene; those looking to network with the forces behind the airwaves will be granted the opportunity at the soft station launch this Saturday, March 29th at clothing boutique SF2 North, located at 215 W. Green Road Houston, Texas.
