The early reviews on Rick Ross’ Mastermind album are mixed — as we expected them to be. However, there seems to be universal praise for one of the bonus tracks, “Blessing In Disguise” featuring two Houston heavyweights in Scarface & Z-Ro. On an album where Ross touches “’93 Til’ Infinity”, “Luchini”, “You’re Nobody Til’ Somebody Kills You” and more, him gliding over pained scats, soulful bass lines and getting led in by a top notch Face verse might be better for him. But that’s playing armchair A&R and the album’s already been claimed to be classic by one of its executive producers. Stream “Blessing In Disguise” below.
