Remember when Ben Affleck getting casted as Batman irked you about the upcoming Batman/Superman movie? Well let’s ruffle your feathers even more.

Jesse Eisenberg, aka the guy who played Mark Zuckerberg in The Social Network will be donning either a bald cap or rocking a baldy himself as he’ll be Lex Luthor in the upcoming Man Of Steel sequel. To counter such an awkward casting, we wind up losing Michael Caine as the esteemed Alfred Pennyworth but gain Jeremy Irons in that position.

“Lex Luthor is often considered the most notorious of Superman’s rivals, his unsavory reputation preceding him since 1940. What’s great about Lex is that he exists beyond the confines of the stereotypical nefarious villain. He’s a complicated and sophisticated character whose intellect, wealth and prominence position him as one of the few mortals able to challenge the incredible might of Superman,” Snyder explained in a press release. “Having Jesse in the role allows us to explore that interesting dynamic, and also take the character in some new and unexpected directions.”

So great, not only are Warner Bros looking to piss off every fan boy in America and wind up telling them “I Told You So!” when the film is set to release in 2016 (pushed back a year after the insane Hollywood lineup of Avengers: Age Of Ultron a new Bond film, the return of Star Wars, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles a new Jurassic Park movie AND a new Terminator flick) but they’re definitely trying to continue the theme of packing superhero movies with well versed and deep actors.

Batman/Superman is set to hit theaters on May 6, 2016.
