CM Punk has left the WWE. At least that’s what several credible pro wrestling sites will lead you to believe. The story goes that following his awesome performance this past Sunday, CM Punk told Vince McMahon that he was done. Here is what PWMANIA.com reported this morning regarding the situation.

CM Punk reportedly told Vince McMahon personally on Monday that he was going home, and then got on a plane for Chicago. WWE.com has since removed Punk from all upcoming live events and house shows over the next few weeks including Monday Night Raw and the Elimination Chamber PPV on February 23rd in Minneapolis, MN.

CM Punk has been very vocal about his disdain for WWE bringing in “part-timers” during Wrestlemania season, making the argument that the part-timers take away major spots on the card from the guys who are with the company 365 days a year. Punk was also reportedly upset that Batista got the main event slot at Wrestlemania when he said it was obviously “[Daniel] Bryan’s year.”

If this is true and CM Punk is actually gone from the WWE, that throws a huge monkey wrench into the plans for Wrestlemania XXX, and leaves a large void to be filled on the roster. Punk was set to face Triple H at Mania and rumored to have a match with Kane and the upcoming Elimination Chamber pay-per-view. Punk posted the following tweet after his Rumble match.

We can only hope this is a work and that CM Punk did not “take his ball and go home.” We will keep you updated on this story as more details are revealed.
