Every now and then James Blake gets to takeover BBC Radio 1 and debut new material. Last night was one of those occasions as on the first official night of his residency at the station, the British producer and singer debuted two new remixes and a brand new solo work of his own. Mystikal’s “Pay Me”, which technically isn’t a song is Blake wrapping a beat around that freestyle Mystikal kicked for Mannie Fresh in a car a few months after he was released from prison. Beyoncé’s “Drunk In Love” gets reshifted by Blake under the Harmonomix moniker but neither compare to Blake’s blooming “40455” track. Stream all three here.
