Childish Gambino x Chance The Rapper - The Worst Guys_Visual

One of the clear standout cuts off of Childish Gambino’s superb sophomore LP, Because the Internet, was his “The Worst Guys” collab with Chance the Rapper. Earlier today, Gambino finally gave the track the visual treatment.

Employing slightly cinematic camera angles that at times seem home movies-ish, “The Worst Guys” music video does the exact opposite of what Gambino says on the song in terms of “This ain’t a vacation.” Director Kyle Newacheck has Gambino and Chance crash the beach with a few of their friends, clearly having a blast surfing with blunts and playing with glow-in-the-dark lightsabers as the day comes to an end and the sun starts setting in the background. And while on the tracks itself Chance the Rapper is limited to the hook, the emcee’s goofy persona shines out as the clear co-star of the “The Worst Guys” visuals. Chance’s facial expressions alone are priceless, and you can’t help but laugh (or at least smile knowingly) when you see Chance and Childish Gambino recreate a The Karate Kid moment on the shore.

Childish Gambino’s Because The Internet album, on which the Chance the Rapper-featured “The Worst Guys” appears, is available now.
