The hip-hop community is in mourning once more this Saturday as Doe B, a rising Alabama star and member of T.I.’s Grand Hustle label was shot and killed in the wee hours of the morning (Dec. 28).

Doe B, real name Glenn Thomas, 22, was killed at the Centennial Hill Bar & Grill (formerly known as The Rose Supper Club) in his hometown of Montgomery, Alabama. Multiple affiliates including label boss T.I., Trae Tha Truth, Drake, Meek Mill and others have expressed their condolences via social media. The news was confirmed his manager DJ Frank White.

Thomas had seen a rise in his own buzz following a 2010 shooting that resulted in him losing his right eye. He made appearances on Grand Hustle’s summer G.D.O.D mixtape as well as his own solo tape Baby Je$us
