You know what I hated about the ’90s? Humanizing the monsters we grew up with. Legendary Pictures looks to right a wrong with their remake of Godzilla starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Kick-Ass, Avengers: Age Of Ultron), Elizabeth Olsen (Avengers: Age Of Ultron) and Bryan Cranston (Walter MF’n White). From the early looks of it, Johnson is a soldier, Olsen is his wife & Cranston is the one who knocks — err, a scientist. Nevermind that the trailer itself is badass, director Gareth Edwards quotes to USA Today are what should sell the movie for you. Take it away Gareth:

“To me, he’s like a force of nature, like the wrath of God or vengeance for the way we’ve behaved,” he said. “I’ve just got a secret fantasy — well, it’s not very secret anymore — about living in a world where there’s fantastical things like giant creatures and what it would really be like and trying to take it seriously. And there’s no bigger or better icon than Godzilla.”

Take my money now, take it! Or take it May 16th, 2014 when the film drops.
