A Lot Of Houston ‘Gladiators’ Won’t See ‘Scandal’ On Thursday [@scandalABC]

See the image above? That’s the same face Olivia Pope makes before her lip quivers and all around here begins to fall for about fifteen seconds. It’s also the same face that fans of ABC’s ‘Scandal’ who live in Houston have made when they found out that the show’s upcoming season finale will be preempted in favor of the Houston Texans Thursday Night Football contest with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

That’s right, a 2-10 football team going absolutely nowhere has more pull with your local TV network than the most talked about show on television. Due to a contract obligation, all Texans game that are not aired on either CBS, NBC or Fox during the regular season end up getting aired on ABC. For example, last years massacre in Foxboro between the Patriots & Texans in the regular season preempted whatever show ABC would normally be running on Monday nights.

Don’t fret Scandal fans, your best bet is to probably DVR it when it comes on at 2 AM Thursday night. Yeah, 2 AM.

This is one Houstonian that was not pleased to see Scandal wasn’t coming on! A bunch of us at work have a Scandal discussion every Friday morning. I’m guessing ESPN decided the game was going to be so bad it wasn’t worth airing. Glad to know I can still see it.

Brando, tonight’s Scandal is not the season finale. Next week (12/12) will be the season finale.
