Last night in the Triple D, the Dallas Observer hosted their 25th annual Dallas Observer Music Awards. Similar to those that take place here in Houston, Dallas media members and industry experts nominated over 200 acts and over 4,000 people voted for the respective winners — and not much of a shock could be found amongst the crowd.

Vocalist Sarah Jaffe who’s claim to fame is not only a damn good EP but also some chorus work for an Eminem single among other things took home two honors including Best Solo Act and Best Vocalist. The Polyphonic Spree (yes, THAT Polyphonic Spree) took home the Best New Release award for Yes, It’s True and the A.Dd+ collective from Slim Gravy & Paris Pershun along with their tour DJ Sober & producer PICNICTYME each took home awards, A.Dd+ with Best Hip-Hop Act and the Booty Fade duo respectively winning Best DJ (Sober), Producer (Booty Fade) and Best Song (“F*ck Like A Stripper”).
