Justin Bieber - Bad Day

Whether you hate him or love him, you have to give Justin Bieber props for his current #MusicMondays series. For the last couple of weeks, The Biebs has delivered some damn good slow jams, and this Monday’s entry is no exception. Barely minutes past minute, Bieber unveiled his new track, “Bad Day.” Of all the entries in the #MusicMonday series so far, “Bad Day” is as somber as its title and single artwork imply.

There’s none of the Craig David-assisted bounciness of “Recovery” here, none of the built-for-Cuffing Season smoothless that was laid down in “Hold Tight.” Rather, “Bad Day” channels a guitar and drums that sound like they were lifted straight from The Isley Brothers’ “Footsteps in The Dark.” “You took away the brightest part of me,” The Biebs croons, sounding downright dejected as he laments getting his heart broken by a woman he thought would be it for him. Justin’s singing about a woman, but to me, he might as well be singing about my Houston Texans, especially after last night’s loss.
