Black suits and Dallas are synonymous with one another. It’s more than the sort of revered country boy aspect about them, it’s also the fact that make things that may not seem important, really really important. You think Dallas’ Matchbox Tony (formerly Brown of Sore Losers)’ latest video for “Contrast” would carry a sense of gravitas if he wasn’t looking like Malcolm X dragging on a cig inside that skinny tie and black jacket? Nonsense. It’s all about being “free” in his words and on the scale moving track, he sways and bounces, flashes his ring a few times but mostly importantly makes sure the focus remains squarely on him.
