Music and Media Mixer Flyer [Small]

For several months Houston’s local music scene (primarily via twitter) has been criticized for being unsupportive, shady, and cliquey but most importantly for not providing more outlets for local artist and musicians to mix and mingle with industry professionals. In hopes to foster a positive outlook on the music scene; Carma Stephens of Connected Promos marketing and promotions firm has teamed up with Alix Investments to provide a one-stop shop for the local music and entertainment industry for an evening of networking with the Music & Media Mixer. Artist, producers, DJs, engineers, bloggers, photographers, journalist, videographers, and managers are all encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to  promote their craft or services. Industry professionals will also be on hand to give insight on their respective career fields through an informative panel. Some of the confirmed industry panellist include platinum producer Gavin Luckett, music blogger Queen Bobbi, marketing maven Jessica Vickery, artist manager Chris V of First and Ten Music Management, and more.If picking the brain of some of the city’s elite professionals isn’t enough the mixer hosted by Mystic, Phill Wade, and Surreall will feature giveaways, cocktails, sweet treats, and food catered by Jae Cajun Cuisines. Sounds will be provided by DJ Young Samm while local independent artist Express and Tha Phoundation will entertain attendees throughout the night with performances. The music & media mixer will take place on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at 5909-B The Go Smoke Shop from 6-9 pm. For more information or to register for this event visit
